The ex-wptionally dry season, and tho unrest occasioned by the cessation' of Work at some' of the freezing works, ha« militated somewhat against the entry of fat , stock f or^ the Masterton Show. This notwithstanding, the live "stock dashes are filling rapidly. In view of the special circumstances, it hae been decided io Teceive-late entries up to and including Saturday, the Bth met. This decision will doubtless be appreciated by intending exhibitors. ,tt may bp mentiotied.lhtt there ate several classes open only to exhibitors farming riot more than 1 500 actes of land, and these should appeal to small farmers of the Wairarapa and 'surrounding ' districts. Tht> transport facilities for the show are perfect, and exhibitors will have the satisfaction of knowing that their stock is well-cared for from tne. time of ite t»*rival until its departure.
