The Ittaflgahua Times J-epOfts that the Consolidated group of mines is now taking on all miners on wages for a. month or so till contracts are taken. There is room for twenty miners, who can be taken on at once. The prospects for the mines are stated to be exceedingly good. The renewal of machinery at the Keep-it-Dark mine has necessitated a stoppage for nearly a week. THIRD SHIFT AT WAIHI. {M TELEOBAPH— SPECIit TO THE PO6T.) WAIHI, This Day. Arrangements have been made by the management of the Waihi Grand June* tion Gold Company to start a third shift at the battery this week, and as the water should be out of the low level the underground workings should be' fully .manned (three shifts daily), about the beginning of March.
