There is room for twenty miners, who can be taken on at once. The prospects for the mines are stated to be exceedingly good. Arrangements have been made by the management of the Waihi Grand June* tion Gold Company to start a third shift at the battery this week, and as the water should be out of the low level the underground workings should be' fully .manned (three shifts daily), about the beginning of March.
