NEW SOUTH WALES PUTS UP A RECORD. By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright. SYDNEY, 24th April. The New South Wales banking averages for the first quarter of the year constitute a record. The total deposits were £53,737,987, being an increase of £2,016,652. The proportion of coin, and bullion to liabilities was 28.31 per cent., an increase of 2.34 per cent, compared with the same period of last year. Cash holdings were £3,600,000 more than a year ago. The total deposits hay© increased by £10,000,000 in threo years, and by £20,000,000 in seven years.
