DECREASES IN PAHIATUA. [BY TELEGBAPH — PBBSS ASSOCIATION.] PAHIATUA, This Day. The census returns for the Pahiatua Borough showed the population as numbering 1358, as compared with 1371 in 1906 j Pahiatua county, 3396; against 3674 m 1906. The decreases are due to smaller families. The volume of bustness transacted has increased considerably since last census. DEVONPORT'S INCREASE. AUCKLAND, This Day. The census return for Devonport borough gives 7040, an increase of about 2000 on the previous census.
