ENTERTAINMENTS. OPERA HOUSE. "The Bad Girl of the Family" continues to attract troops of sympathisers and friends to the Opera House nightly. The play has co far proved a powerful attraction ; never thelees it will give place on Wednesday to "The Angel of His Dreams," by Geo. A. de Gray and which has been a most successful play in, England. J THE WANDERERS. A large audienco filled the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall laet evening to hear the Wanderers, the clever band of entertaineais, in their new repertoire. Miss Phyllis Hopwood Foldi delighted the audience with her clever musical monologue selections, and Mr. Leslie Holmee provided plenty of comic relief. The conge sung by Mies Madeline Feme, Mies Everil Heggi, and M-essre. George Winstanley, J. D. Keenan, and J. L. Harvey were thoroughly appreciated by the audience and the banjo and mandolin selections by Mifis Ruby Guest were also most enjoyable. A matinee waa held this afternoon. THEATRE ROYAL. Laa'g« attendances have prevailed at the Theatre Royal this week, where a really excellent entertainment is provided by Messrs. Fullers' Vaudeville Company. Harris and Vernon, danoexe, The Rhodesbury's. and Mtee Mabel Lynne are the ruling favourites. A change of programme ib announced for Monday evening. HIS MAJESTY'S. Notwithstanding the great popularity of the present programme at His Majesty's Theatre there will be a complete change on Monday. The house was packed last evening when "Babylae and the Panther," "The Birth of Flowers," and "Flora's Ti'oupo of Acrobats and Gymnasts" again proved most entertaining. THE NEW THEATRE. The new programme of pictures presented at The Now Theatre yesterday should be a very popular one, as it represented most that is modern in the art of producing moving pictures. Excellent business was done all day yesterday. Scenic views are a feature of the new series, the best being one entitled "Logging on Italian Rivers." The theatre is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. THE KING"S~THEATRE. The Australasian Gazette showing at The King's Theatre brings one up to date with current evente on "the other side." Industrial, scenic, dramatic, and comic series make the present programme exceedingly attractive. Tho King's Lya'ic Orchestra renders admirable music suitable to every picture. There will be a new programme on Monday. STAR PICTUEES. Large audiences are still attracted by the Star Pictures at Newtown. There will be a change of programme on Monday. KING'S FESTIVAL. The King's Festival at the Town Hall continues to draw large crowds. To-day a free matinee is being held, and this evening it-ems will be contributed by "The Wanderers." A semi-final of the tug-of-war will ba held to-night, when Druids meet Miramar. On Monday' Tramways meet Drivers, and on Wednesday Staples pull Pioneers. The ,finals will be pulled on Friday and Satnext. Next Tuesday another Marathon race will be held. "THE CREATION." The first cor cert of tho Wellington Choral Society's 1911 season will bo held on sth May, at the Town Hall. Although "Tlifi Creation" has been given in this city a number of times, this performance will be the first rendering by tho Wellington Choral Society. The society has secured the services o£ Mr. Harold Browning, of M-el-bo-urne, as bass soloist. The othelVvsoloists .taking part are Mrs. Gower Burns ; of Christchurch, soprano, and Mr. E. J. Hill< tenor. A rehearsal will ho held in St. John's Schoolroom, Puonstreet, on Monday evening. FULLERS' SKATING RINK. Fullers' Skating Rink is still claiming large attendances, although the weather is not all that could be desired to gain the best results. The management has secured the services of Madame Read, an expert fanc^ and trick skater from the Olympia Rink, London, who will give exhibitions of her art at an early date. The usual sessions are advertised for to-day. The Pipe Band will play a programme of music at Lyall Bay to-morrow afternoon. AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES i . «» Messrs. W. H.
