TWO ENQUIRIES.
CHRISTCHURCH, 20th April, i The stewards of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club met this morning, and after an exhaustive enquiry into the protest lodged against May Dillon, winner of the Express Handicap, decided to award the race to May Dillon. An appeal against the decision having been lodged, the totalisator money will be impounded until it) is decided. As the result of the performance shown by Apple Pie in the Beginners' Handicap yesterday, the stewards of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club decided to disqualify the mare, and her owner and rider (R. Humphreys) until 31st December next.
