WAIPUKURAU J.C. MEETING.

NAPIER. 17th April. At the Waipukurau Jockey Club's annual meeting the weather was showery. An accident happened in the first Tace. Xgakau and Lady Edna falling. The jockeys (P. O'Brien and J. Griffiths) were taken to the Waipukiirau Hospital, but, though both were severely bruised, it is not thought that they have sustained serious injuries. The sum of £8515 was put through the totalisatox, as against £7022 last year.
