The weather was fine, and the attendance, which was large, included the Governor and Lady Islington. The track was considerably drier than was generally expected, the .going being fairly firm. Business en the totalisator reached large, the sum of £26,949 10s being handled, against £12,992 on the second day of last year, an increase of £13,957 10s, and making £47,651 for the two days, an increase of £22,841- over the first two days of 1910, when bookmakers' fees totalling £1496 10s wer© received.
