OTiogan, P. L. Muir). MIRAMAR MAYORALTY. Mr. Y. R. Meredith, a candidate for the Mayoralty of Miramar. addressed a meeting of electors at Worser Bay on Thursday evening. His speech was on the same lines as his previous utterance, but he took the opportunity ol contradicting d rumour that he was standing in the interest of one man. This was coming back to him so often that he found it necessary to give it a fiat contradiction. He felt -nve that not only was his opponent. Mr. Brodie, guile unconnected with the circulation of this lumonr, but that Brodie wo-uld also scoiv. to lake ad^vanta^e o!' such despicable tactics. As a 1 matter of fact, until the gentleman nani&J in the rumour appeared as one cf the deputation asking" him to- contest the election, he (Air. Meredith) had not seen or spoken to him for two years, and hud never yet spoken with him on municipal mattei'6.
