NORTH AUCKLAND RAILWAY.
AUCKLAND, 13th. April. The official opening of the-Towai-Kawakawa section of the Whangarei railway by the Hon. James Carroll, acting-Prime Minister, took place today. A large number of visitors from Whangarei arrived by special train, including members of the Railway Commission and detachments of public school cadets. Kawakawa was decorated for the occasion. Speaking at the luncheon, Mr. Carroll held out great hopes of the progress and advancement of this part of the Dominion in the near future.
