The Western' Canada coal owners affected by the Crow's Nest strike have informed the Labour Department that they will welcome the proposal for Government interference, with a view to compulsory arbitration. The owners had previously offered arbitration, but the miners had refused the offer. [There are 7000 men out. It wa-s stated a few days ago that if no settlement between employers and men could be reached, the Government proposed to appoint an Arbitration Board.]
