MINISTERIAL CRISIS.

It seems that to a considerable extent the representatives of the Province of Wellington are to blame for the present Ministerial crisis. There were more than one absent from the House on Wednesday night, and when Mr. Vogel's motion was put on that evening more than one of them left the house and did not vote. This conduct certainly is very reprehensible, and will likely meet with that punishment it deserves. A few of the most influential merchants in the city have taken the matter up, and are determined upon bringing the guilty ones to justice. For this reason they have addressed the following letter to W. B. Rhodes, Esq , M.11.R. :— Wellington, 12th Oct., 1865. Sib— We, the undersigned, have learnt

with deep concern the resignation of the Weld Ministry, owing to the want of that efficient support which, after .their late appeal to their supporters, they have a reasonable right to expect. Ad we believe the continuance of the Weld Ministry in office to be a matter of vital importance to the host interests of the colony, and of this Province, we asic you. at onr representative, to afford them, during the remainder of this session, that cordial and constant support which we conceive they are fairly entitled to expect from the representatives of this province. ' We are, Sir, Your obedient servants, W. M. Bannatyne. C. B. Boriase. Georgo Hunter. George Crawford. Walter Turnbull. Edwurd Pearce. J. Dransfleld. Robert Stokes. George Moore. William Lyon. A. P. Stuart. J. H. Wallace.
