THREATENED MINISTERIAL CRISIS.
Last night in the House of Representatives. Mr. Vogel moved, that in the distribution of Provincial Revenue, the Stamp Duties be be placed on the same footing as the Customs Duties. The Speaker said that this was a motion which must be considered in Committee. Mr. Vojel replied that he would make his remarks on the motion in Committee, and, therefore, would move that the Speaker do now leave the chair, in order that the House go into Committee to consider the resolution. The Colonial Treasurer hoped the hon. gentleman would withdraw his motion, as it was one affecting the Ministerial policy. On the question being put, the House divided, when the numbers were — Ayes, 17 : Messrs. Brodie, Buckland, Burns, Carleton, Creighton, G. The Speaker, in giving the casting vote, said that as the Stamp Bill had not passed yet, he would give his vote with the Noes.
