CHAMBER 0F COMMERCE.

The annual general meeting was held yesterday afternoon at the Exchange Buildings. There were present :— Messrs. Plmrazyn (chairman), Krull, Woodward, Stuart, Ledger, Moore, Bannatyne, Luxford, Drunsfield, Turnbull, Vennell,Crawford, Hartmann, Bethune, Lyon, Pearce (Deputy Chairman) , and Levien. The annual report was read and adopted. Mr. Pharazyn was again elected Chairman, and Mr. .Pearce Deputy-Chairman. The following gentlemen were then elected as a Committee for the year 1865-6, namely :— Messrs. W. B. Bannatyne, J. 11. Bethune, G. Crawford, J. Dransfield, 6 Hunter, J. Johnston, F. A. Krull, N. Leviu, W. Lyon, G. Moore, W. B. Rhodes, A. P. Stuart, W. Turnbull, and J. Woodward. The Chairman stated that he had received an acknowledgment from the Commissioner of Customs of the report adopted by the Chamber on the tariff. On the motion of Mr. Levin, the Chairman, Deputy-Chairman, and Mr. Hunter, were appointed a Committee to print the annual report. , On the motion of Mr. George Moore, a

cordial rote of thanks was awarded to Messrs. ' Bethuna and Hunter for the use of the room occupied by the Chamber during the past year. In acknowledging the compliment, Mr. Huntersald he was happy to be able to offer the Chamber the Use of the room. The meeting then adjourned.
