Cathedral Square.
—The land reserved for the uatnearai is now marked out, and extends at the extreme of the curve, a fewfeet westward of the western footpath of Colombo street, in accordance with the terms of the Ordinance. The reserve, however, will not obstruct foot traffic, which will be but slightly diverted by the tower of th e Cathedral, winch occupies the eastern footpath, and leaves the "ne of road open to the view. We have been shown the plan which was exhibited at the time the petition in' favor of the division of the street was under signature, and find that the land now taken does not extend quite so far westward as was shown.— Mail, Canterbury. An eye-glass has been well-defined as a toy which enables a coxcomb to see others, nd others to see that he is a coxcomb.
