A few days ago the ceremony of giving the veil was perfo rmed at Paris with the utmost pomp by the Nuncio in person, the fair postulant being the youthful daughter of the Lite Duke of Norfo k. The church of the Carmelite Convent was crowded, and the quete (collection) not the less in amount for having been made by the youthful duke, brother to the fair recluse.
