SOUTHBRIDGE
THE W.E.A. BRANCH.
FIRST MEETING HELD,
The first meeting of the Southbridge branch of the W.E.A. was held in the High School last Monday evening. For the first meeting the attendance was very gratifying, eleven members being present. The subject for discussion was a play "The Younger Generation," by W. S. Houghton. After the play had been read by members an interesting and thought-provoking discussion followed on the problems which the play opened up, those concerned with the control and guidance | of the younger generation of the present day. Owing to the holidays, the next meeting will not be held until Monday, June lst, when the subject will be the opera, "Tanhauser." It is to be hoped that the adult residents of Southbridge—and attendance is limited to adults —will take advantage of the opportunities provided by these meetings, for the subjects set for study are entertaining and at the same time instructive.
