Despite the decline, qnly a very few lines were passed, farmers evidently realising that there is no prospect of an improvement for some time to come. " ,■ The sheep sales included fat lambs 17s to 24s 4d, ,rape lambs 16s Id, fat ewes 10s to lis, cull ewes 5s 2d, merino ewes 5s 2d. Fat pigs brought £4 to £6, porters £3 12s, large stores 36s to -70s, small from Bs. The cattle sales included 2 steers at £2 15s, 13 calves at 20s, a cow in milk £6 10s and 2 store cows at £4, , :,■
