Lakeside Paddy's Market

LIBERAL DONATIONS AND PROMISES OF GOODS. MEETING TO-MORROW NIGHT From the support already^ re*ceived, it appears that with anything like ordinary luck in regard to weather, there will be no difficulty at all in raising sufficient money at the Paddy's Market, to be held about the end. of this month, to wipe off the debt on the Memorial Hall. The people of the district who have been asked for assistance have been most generous. .-Every person approached has either given a substantial cash donation or promises of a considerable quantity of farm or home produce, work, etc., to \k sold at Paddy's Market. The ladies and gentlemen who comprise the committee have entered into the work with rare zest and one and all are determined that this shall be the last big appeal on account/of the hall debt. A meeting was called for Monday night to appoint stall holders and. make other important arrangements^ but the night was so boisterous that many living at t distance could not be'expected to attend.* As it was, several very enthusiastic ladies braved the elements, their pluck in doing so be^ mg a very happy augury. It was thought advisable; in justice to those who could not attend, to postpone the meeting tilP to-mor-row night at 8, when it is hoped there will be a big muster of ladies and gentlemen.
