Obituary

MRMcMAHON. ' Mr Jeremiah J. McMahon, who passed away in the Lewisham Hospital on Sunday at the early age of 52 years, was a well known and much esteemed resident of Lakeside, where he had been farming for the last 20 years. The late Mr McMahon, who was born in County Kerry, Ireland, came out to New Zealand about 35 years ago, settling at St. Andrews, near Timaru. He came to the Ellesmere district 25 years ago and was employed by the late Mr T. B. Howson until he acquired a farm of his own. For- the last six years his health had been very indifferent. He leaves a widow and family, who will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends. The funeral takes place this morning. There will be Requiem Mass at the ,Leeston Catholic Church at 9.30.
