Southbridge Fire Brigade
♦ — A meeting of the members of the newly formed Southbridge Volunteor Fire Brigade was held on Saturday evening, there being a full attendance. The superintendent dect, Mr J. Low, was m the chair. The appointment of the superintendent was confirmed, and Mr Low signified his willingness to act. Mr C. H. Willis was elected Hon Secratary and Treasurer and Dr. Withers foreman. Tha superinetndent, Secretary and foreman were appointed a Committee to drift rules, etc The secretary was instructed to make inquiries with a view to the housing of the engine temporarily m a central position, and the meeting terminated.''
