CLYDE SCHOOL.
The usual monthly meeting of the Committee was held in the Town Hall Committee Room on Friday evening last, the 4tb inst.
Present : Messrs J. Hickson (Chairman), Welsford, Joss Keeic, and Geo. Fache. Mr 1,-iD. Macgeorgo, Esq. (absent) was elected, Sectary ami Treasurer to the Committee:;, Mr BbU’wrote a note of apology for his absence,
The Master’s report for the month was read and received. The reix-rt showed that whilst there ba-1 been nine taken off the roll since the beginning of the quarter, there had V-een a positive increase of 4. as 13 had been art-led fo the roll. Some few reqniiemente wero also pointed out. The report was iee-ived, and the Chairman was initrne'oel to have the few matters referred to in the r-'.j-ort attended to. Regarding the jvpaated and continued absence from solum! of s-mie of the scholars it was decided that every warning should bo given the parents, but that if it was still further repeated to bring Hie compulsory clauses of the E hication Act into operation.
