CLYDE SCHOOL.

The first meeting of the Clyde School Committee was held in the Schoolhouse, on Friday evening last, the 80th April. Present: Messrs James Hickson, Joss, Welafonl, Koele, and Fache. Mr James Hickson was appointed chair, man of committee for the current year. The question of appointing a secretary and treasurer was deferred till next meeting. Mr Fache undertaking the duties in the meantime.

Resolved : That the Chairman he authorised to have a few loads of gravel put on the school grounds, and that he be requested to apply to the County to have the roadway in front of the school gravelled. Kesolved : That the Committee meet for business oh the first Friday in each month at 8 p.m„ the next meeting to be on Friday, the 4th of June, to be held in the Town Hall committee room.

Resolver! • That the master be requested to furni-h the committee with a monthly report of the work of the school. The meeting then closed.
