An adjonrned meeting- of the Trustee* .was . held in the Committee room, Town Hall, Clyde, bn Tuesday, SOthMarch. ■ Present: Messrs J. Hickson, Crawford, Jeffery, Joss, Maogeorge, and J. £ Stevens, Treasurer. ,

Resolved- That Mr J. Hickson be pew manent Chairman of the Board of Trustees, . '■A letterJromMrW, Agnew, referring to. the death of his brother, which took place in the Institution a few days since, was' read, and referred to Dr Lewis for an ex* planation. Resolved—That Messrs Maogeorge and Stevens be appointed a sub-committee for drawing of plans, etc., and requested to obtain all information from Messrs Scott Bros, of Christchnrch, with regard to their patent -windmills and pumping gear. _ Resolved that the Chairman be authorised to sign all, necessary papers between ' the Pubbo Works Department and thin’ Board re Government vote for a water sup* ply, and that be communicate with Vincent Pyke, £eq., M.H.R,, re having the vote reinstated on the estimates for 1836-87, in the event of its lapsing through not being claimed before the cloee of last financial year. Resolved—That the Chairman and Treasurer sign all contracts entered into by this Board. Tenders for supplies, etc., for the year ending Ist April, 1887, were opened, and the following accepted : - Groceries anid Medical Comforts—B, Naylor Meat- C. Attffeld Bread-T. H. 801 l Coals -J. Holt' Burials and Coffins—J. U. Cambridge. There was no tender for milk, and the Chairman and Treasurer were authorised to arrange for a supply. Resolved—That the Secretary’s salary be L 25 per annum. Resolved—That the Chairman, Treasurer, and Mr Jeffery bo a Sab-Committee to draw up a'code of bye-laws, and to report at future meeting. The meeting then closed.

The usual monthly meeting of the Trustees of the above Institution was held in the Committee ro>m, Town Hall, on Monday, the sth inst., at 8 p.m.

Present: J. Hickson, Esq., Chairman.; and Messrs Crawford, Toss, J. E. Stevens, Treasurer ; and Geo Facbe, Secretary. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed

Inward coiTespondence, including letter from Charitable Aid District Board totbo effect that H. Livingstone, Esq., Government auditor, had been appointed auditor of Hospital accounts. From Vincent County Council, to effect that W. Piaser £ iq.; County Chairman, had been appointed representative of the County on the Board of Trustees. Prom Dr Lewis, in explanation of letter from Mr W. Aguew,’brother of the late J. Agnew, were read and received.

After consideration of the letter from Dr. Lewis, it was resolved ;—That the members of this Trost, whilst not entertaining an idea that all the efforts of Vr Lewis would have availed in saving the life of the deceased J A "new, yet, regret that on being informed of a change for -the worse he die} not immediately and at once visit the de-, , ceased, and trusts that is fatnre greater/ 1 promptness is attending on patients will be? observed when called apon ; and that a c py of nbo-e resolution be sent to Dr Lewis.

I After discussion on the question of admission of patients into the Institution, it was resolved That pending the adoption of bye laws, all persons bearing a manuscript letter of recommendation from any contributor of the snra of 5b or upwards, dressed to the Resident Surgeon, be admitted into the Institution as a patient; and that it bo an instruction to the Wardsman to admit, during like Resident Su a geon’s absence, any person reeking admission into the Hoepitol os a patient.
