Distance, One mile. HOSPITAL RACE Of sovs. Rider of the winning horse to be presented with a whip, rider of second horse a pair of spurs. RULES AND REGULATIONS. Nominations for the Alexandra Handicap and the District Handicap must be received by the Secretary before 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27th. Weights will be published in the Dunstan Times on Friday, the 29th August. Acceptances for both Handicaps must be received by the Secretary before 7 p.m. on Thursday, September IS; also entries for Maiden Plate. No person allowed to nominate a horse for either of the Handicaps unless he be a subscriber of not less than one guinea to the Race Fund. Three horses to accept in each Handicap or no race. The winner of the Alexandra Handicap will have to carry 71b penalty in the District. No entries will be received for any of the above races except on the following conditions : That all disputes arising out of the races shall be decided by the Stewards, and their decision final. Any person entering a protest must deposit L2, and should such protest be deemed frivolous by the Stewards, the nmonnt will be forfeited. The Dunstan Jockey Club Rules will be strictly enforced.
