The latest particulars to baud regarding the disaster at the Bradford Woollen Mill show that 36 deaths were caused by tho fall of the chimney, and full v 50 operatives have received injuries of a serious character. The Bank of Australasia has issued new shares to the amount of £400,000. The Times in an article to-day advises Earl Derby, Secretary of State for the Colonies to recognise more formally than at present the status of Colonial-Ageuts-General. In is’ announced that General Lord Napier of Magdala has been appointed a field- marshal. In its second edition to-day the Times announces that it is intended to divide Zu uland and appoint British Residents to both Cetewayo and John Dunn. The latter will, it is stated, be permanently assigned the Ingella district, which is now under his control. Paris, December 30. The latest bulletin published reports that M. Gambe ta is in a critical state, and his condition is causing grave anxiety to his medical attendants. Berlin, December 30. INTERCOLONIAL. Melbourne, December 30. The Victorian revenue returns for the past qnarter show that the receipts for that period amounted to £1,450,000, being au increase of £76,250 compared with the corresponding quarter last year. The revenue for the year amounted to £5,690,000, being an increase of £269,000.

Howe and Co.” On December 30, a four-roomed cottage belonging to and occupied by Thomas Hall, situated at the corner of Harmen street and Windmill road, was burnt down. Tho house was insured in the Union Office for £IOO, and in the Northern, and Australian Mercantile for £lflo each. At Oamaru it has rained very heavy, but the crops are not supposed to have suffered any material damage.
