Sir Benjamin’s dam was imported from Scotland by Richard Brodie, Esq.; Young Ben Lomond’s dam, Blossom, was by Messrs M’lntosh’s imported horse, Prince Charlie ; Blossom’s dam, by Mr E Brndie’s imported mare NelL This shows that Young Ben Lomond is bred from imported stock, both sire and dam’s side His stock have} taken first prizes at the Blneskin Annual Show 1873, 1874, and 1875, against all comers. A one year old filly by him took first prize at Palmerston, in 1876. Ben Lomond took first prize against all comers at Black’s Annual Show, 1881 ; also did some of his stock take first and second prizes at the same show. Last year, a yearling colt and a three-year unbroken filly changed bauds at LSO each. These facts speak for themselves. He is a splendid worker and sure foal-getter.
