THE AUSTRALIANS IN ENGLAND London, August 26. The match between the Australians and eleven of Gloucester, at Clitton, was resumed to-day. The Australians in their first innings scored 190. Horan was bowled for 41, and Jones bowled for 33. The Home team in their first innings put together 131. F. Townsend was the highest scorer with 27. Spofforth bowled splendidly, taking five wickets for 30. The Australians went in for their second innings, and had scored 98 with six wickets down when time was called, and the match ended in a draw, Massie was not out with ■53, and Bannerman not out with 21. There was a large attendance and the weather was fine, but the wicket was not In good order. The date of the cricket match between the Australian team and the All-England Eleven will not be altered. It has now been decided to play on the days originally fixed, commencing on Monday, 2Sth inst. August 23. The Australian Cricketers start on their return on September 13, and pass through America.
