DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.

A SPECIAL meeting of the Committee of Managemi nt was held in the Committe Room, Town Hall, on Monday evening last, the 21st inst. Present: Messrs J. E. Stevens. VicePresident ; Attfield, Clark, Crawford, Sims, Cambridge, Holt, McGinnias, J. S. Dickie, Treasurer ; and Geo. Facho, Secretary. The Vice-President stated the object of

the meeting was to elect a resident-surgeon, and called on the Secretary to read the minutes of the extraordinary special meeting of Committee held on the 28th ult., also of special meeting held on Ist inst, which would fully explain all previous steps taken. The minutes having been read, applications from three candidates were then ■opened and read. The same having been considered it was resolved on the voices of eight that Dr. J. A, Wardale of Waiau, Amnri, be elected. Tho meeting then closed.
