INTERPROVINCIAL
A fire occurred -on 27th July at Christ church, whereby a building in the yard of Lightband, Allan and Co.’s large factory was destroyed. The loss was confined to the building, which was of no great value, and some £2OO worth of stock. The latter was insured. A large number of applications for silkworm eggs have been received recently by Mr. Federli, and mulberry trees have been -extensively planted on Banks Peninsula... ■ Captain W. J. Barry has received permission to make a cast of Winiata’s head •after execution.
