THE AUSTRALIANS IN ENGLAND London July 12. The match Australians v. Marylehone. which was postponed yesterday owing to the rain, was resumed to-day. The weather was fine. Marylehone in their first innings scored 320. The Australians then went in for their first innings, which closed for 138. Time was called, and the match was drawn. For the Marylehone Club A. P. Lucas scored 45, and was caught. C. T. Studd was bowled for 114. He played a splendid innings, and never gave a chance. G. B. Studd was Ibw for 25. The innings, as already announced, closed for a total of 320, Garret, for the Australians, bowled admirably, and took seven out of ten wickets for 89 runs. The attendance at the match was very large. July 13. A match was to have been cnmiuineed today at-Dewsbury between the Australians ami United North, but it had to be postponed owing to the heavy rain. London, Ju’y 14 The cricket match between the Australians and Eleven of Yorkshire was commenced to-day at Dewsbury. There was a large attendance, and the weather was fine. The Home team went in first and scored 129. The only player who any stand against the bowling of the Australians was E. Lockwood, who batted splendidly for 61. The Australians went in for their first innings, and had scored 111 for five wickets, when stumps were drawn for the dav. Bannerman was highest scorer with 34, bowled. July 15.

The cricket match at Dewsbury was re" snmed to day. The weather was inclement and ihe wicket bad. The Australians continued their first innings, but only succeeded in adding 30 runs for the remaining five wickets. The innings closed for a total of 141. The Yckshire Eleven went in for their second innings, and put together 64 for the loss of one wicket, when time was called. The match ended in a draw.
