DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPI TAL.
Tab ordinary monthly meeting of the Com mitteo of Management was held in the committee room, Town Hall, on Monday even ins last, the sth inst., at S p m.
Present: Messrs. J. L. Stevens, vicepresident ; Cambridge, Sims, T. S. Dicki-, hou. treasurer ; and George Facbe, secretary. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and con filmed.
The inward correspondence was read, including a letter from Mr F. J. Wilson, solicitor, asking in whose name to apply for certificate of hospital water race, and pointing out that as the race was a hereditament the title should be in the name of either the Queen or the Governor. It w r as resolved after e nsideration, on the motion of Mr. Sims, seconded by Mr. Cambri ’ge—“ That the hospital water race be applied for in the name of the Queen, and that Mr. Wilson be informed accordingly by the secretary. The Visiting Committee’s Report No 1. recomimn ling that material for new- beds and mattrassi's, and a supply of new blankets and quilts he obtained, that a small stove he fitted in the Alexandra “ Men’s” Ward, and that the nee aaary repairs bo effected to the kitchen range was read, and the coimnitte were instructed to carry out their recommendations. The report No. 2, recommending payment ot accounts for the past month; amounting to £io 4s 9d, was read and received.
The treasurer’s report, showing a debit balance of £35 5s lOd was read and rei eceived.
The surgeon’s report, to the effct that three patients had been admitted during the month of May, and that three remained in the institution at the end of the month was read and received. Mr T. Sims agreed to he re-elected as a member of the Visiting Committee. The meeting (lien closed.
