DUNSTAN DISTRICT HOSPITAL.
The first monthly meeting of tlie Committee of Management was held in the co n mittee room, Town Hall, on Monday evening, the Cih inst., at 8 p.m. Present : J. K Stevens Ksq , V-ce-Prcsideut, mthe chair, and Messrs All lie d, Dickie, Cam 'idge, Holt, Butler, ami T Sims in attendance.

The Chairman then said the next business would be the election of tiea-mrer, sejre ary and collector. He explained that the iffiee of treasurer was always an honorary one, whilst that of secretary and collector were invariably combined. Resolved that Mr Gear.-e F.iehe he
appointed to the combined office of secretary sud collector.
A discussion ensued as to the title of the Hospital dam and race, and after some coiivoisaiiou it was resolved, “'Unit Mt-ssis Holt, Crawford, and Sims be a sub-com-mittee to deal with the water question, and
to present a report at the next ensuing monthly meeting.”
Mr Holt drew attention to the fact of •attle being in tha Hospital groan is at all times and seasons, and said it would be useless to deal with the fencing unless s-me-thing was done to prevent cattle tresprssiug on the grounds. Visiting committees report No. 2 recoin mending payment of accounts fo salaries and supplies for January 7, ISS2. amounting to £33 13 11 was read and receive I. Messrs Sims, Cambiidge, and Holt were appointed members of the visiting committee. Resolved: Tint a meeting of suhsoiibcra be convened for Monday, March G, at 7 30 p.m. for the election of auditors ft". Resolved: That the annual report Le printed in pamphlet form. Tbe meeting then ended.
