THE LATE ELECTION. I have plenty of friends, and they are still increasing, S ' now Mr Fraser, he can (alk as he likes ; The rahniters and shepherds did vote for the station, Bat we k-pt out the squatter and did put in Pyke. For Mr Pyke is a man now near thirty years standing, A sound politician not easily got o’er ; lie fought very hard to got laud for the people, And will not bo easy until ho docs get more. As for the gold duty, ho will got it aholishe.il. Although at one time ha was against it he fore. It’s through some other spree—it wae wrong of M'lekelhir, lie did not forget to rip up that old sore. Biit in spite of Maokellar, or Earnsolcugh dweller, Tho day of the election you seen how we roll. Twelve squatters did bring large crowds wah them, I But wo put Mr Pyke at tho the head of i .poll. 1 M. SAMMON.
