Thb Dunedin correspondent of the “Mount Ida Chronicle ” says “ the block vote of the Good Templars will be given to Mr Fraser, who is opp si g Mr Pyko for the ensuring election in the Dunstan District.” However this piece of information reached the correspondent’s ears it is difficult to say, and to our mind it is still more difficult to believe, as from what wo an lenin ro decision has been arrived at by that body as lo what course they intend pursuing during the coming contest. There evidently is some misunderstanding, and to do our old friend Mr Pyke justice, we cannot but think he is entitled to some litt’e consideration at the hands of the friends of local option, as on reference to “H.msaid" it will be seen he strongly supported their measure.
