WASTE LANDS BOARD, DUNEDIN.
At the meeting of the Land Board held on the 22nd ultimo, the following business was transacted : RUNS IX THE INTERIOR. The Board resumed const.icration of the published memo, of the Under-Secretary of Crown Lands, suggesting the mode of dealing with runs in the interior, the leases of which expire in 18S3. On the motion of Mr Bathgate, it was resolved—“ That the Boanl, having considered the memo of Mr M’Kerrow, Under-Secrotary for Crown Lands, relative to the disposal of the Crown lands in Otago, to be dealt with at the expiry of the current leases of the runs, desire generally te express their concurrente with the views of the Government contained therein, as tending to promote settlement in the interior, and that the Board will be glad to co-operate with the Government in carrying the same into effect.” BRIDGE RESERVES AT CLYDE. A letter was received from the Chairman of the Vincent County Council, transmitting plans of Bridge Reserves at Clyde, being section 5, block XL, Leaning Rock, and 49, Clyde town, with request that the reserves be recommended to lie granted for protection of the approaches to the bridge. -The following was minuted “ Referred to the Chief Surveyor to state if he sees any objection ;and if not, to have tbs survey recorded with a view of making Cm recommendation as suggested.” - e LAUDER. The Chairman of the Vincent Cc. -y Council requested that sections 37 and 38, block HI, Lauder district, containing ten acres each, be reserved for gravel. It was resolved—“ That Government be recommended to transfer the reserves as requested, the plan to be forwarded to the Chief Surveyor for record.” Another request—that seetii n3, block V, Lauder district, bo granted as a bridge site—was also recommended for approval of the Governor. PLAN OF RESERVE. The Chairman of Vincent County Council forwarded the plan of section 4, block XI, Leaning Rock, containing 57a. 3r. 37., being the reserve adjoining Clyde bridge, with request that the same be proclaimed. Forwarded for consideration of the Government.
