Commercial.

DUNEDIN STOCK REPORT. Mr Donald Stronach (on behalf of the Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited) reports as follows for the week ending June 15th : Pat Cattle.--139 head were yarded today at Burnside, of which 20 were stores and dairy cows. The supply being below the average and the inquiry from the trade good, prices showed an improvement of about 2s 6d per 1001b on last week’s rates. Bullocks realised from L 3 10s to Lll 7s 6d, and cows to L 8 per head. We sold drafts on account of Messrs Wm. Shand and Wm. Lindsay, at L 8 17s Cd to LlO 10s for bullocks,and L 6 10s to L 7 17s 6d for cows. Fat Sheep. —The supply was large, consisting of 2945 head (of which 550 were merinos). Crossbreds fetched from 10s 9d to 18, and merinos Cs to 10s 9d. We sold on account of Mr J. G. Grey, crossbreds at from lls9dto 15s per head. Fat Lambs.—Five were offered, which we sold on account of Mr J. G. Grey at Ila each.

Fat Pigs.—B3 penned, and sold at from 7s to 5 Is each.

Sheepskins.—Wo offered a full catalogue at our sale on Monday. The attendance of buyers was good and fair competition was exhibited, but wo have again to report a lower range of prices. Butchers’ ordinary crossbred skins sold at from 2s to 4s 6d ; merinos, Is lOd to 3s Cd ; pelts, 4d to Is lOd each greasy skins in bales, 4d per lb. Hides.—The demand continues fair, but prices are barely so good. Wo sold this week about 240 hides at from 9s to 25s for weights averaging 30 to 71 lb. Tallow.—The inquiry from the trade is equal to absorbing all supplies coming to hand. Wo have fairly-rendered tallow at np to 265, and rough fat up to 16s 6d per cwt.

Grain.—Wheat: Wo quote prime milling, 4s ; fair to good, 3s 6d to 3s lOd ; inferior and fowls’ feed, 2s to 3s per bushel. Oats are in good demand at a considerable improvement on last week’s prices.
