The Bey of Tunis has made a communication to the Powers, in which ho protests that his consent to the treaty which has been concluded with Franco, was extorted from him by the French commander. The Porto has addressed the French Government on the subject of the treaty which has been entered into with the Bey of Tunis. The communication denies that the Bey was competent to conclude such a treaty without the consent of the Sultan. A Tapanui telegram states there is a complete block on the railway for want-of trucks. All the sheds and sidings are full of grain.
