BRITISH AND FOREIGN. London, April 25. The state of Ireland is causing renewed uneasiness, there having lately been an increase of agrarian crime. Reports are now coming to hand daily of outrages committed In various paits of the country. April 26. The discordant relations which have existed for sometime past between the French and Tunisian Governments have now resulted in open hostilities. April 29. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,290,000 quarters. April 30. There has been an alarming increase o small pox in London ot late. A great number of deaths recently occurred from the disease, which from the numbers now down amounts to an epidemic. The second sculling match took place today between Trickett and the oarsman Kirby, resulting in another easy victory for Trickett. News has been received from the Cape that the mediation of Sir Hercules Robinson, with a view to bring about a settlement of difficulties with the Busatos, has been successful. It has transpired that the commander of the French troops in Tunis has received orders to march against the capital, and the force is therefore advancing with the utmost speed. May 2. In the House of Commons to-day, Sir Charles Dilke, Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, made a statement regarding the negotiations for the settlement of the Turoo-Greek difficulty. He announced that the Sultan had finally accepted the understanding which had been arrived at between the Porte and the Hellenic Government. The City of Dublin has been proclaimed a prescribed district by the Viceroy of Ireland, under the powers vested in him by the Coercion Act. It is understood that several important arrests of leading agitators will at once be made in Dublin. The Stock Exchange is closed, owing to to the day being a Bank holiday, and there are no changes to report in the money market. Telegrams have been received reporting that fighting of a desultory character continues between the French troops and the Tunisians without material advantage to either side. The former continue to advance on the city of Tunis with all possible speed.
