Attention is specially directed to the advertisement notifying that the ratepayers’ rolls for the different ridings are now on view. As these rolls with the additions to be made will he those to be used at the forthcoming general election of County Councillors, it would be well that they should be carefully perused—not alone with the view of getting the names of all bona fide residents and holders of miners’ lights enrolled, but to tho erasing of all names not possessing the necessary qualifications entitling them to be on the roll. The forthcoming election is likely to be most keenly contested, and on its result will depend the future of the county. There is, accordingly, more than ordinary reason why every man who lias a vote should be in a position to exercise it.
