Dunedin, March 31st. The Land Board yesterday gave their decision in the case of the miners at Naseby, who applied to hive certain persons evicted from lands which they illegally occupy bn a run in that district. The Board having obtained an opinion from the Crown Solicitor, resolved that they cannot comply with the request. The Board gi anted-to Messrs Watson and Buchan a copper Mining Lease at Moke Creek. The application for this land has at different times been before the Board for ever twenty years. Tho boiling do"u establishment of Boyd Thompson, near Temuka was destroyed by fiie yesterday morning. The Milton Pottery works are to be turned into a Limited Liability Co. The trial of David Hatchmson, for murder of his wife at Kanieri is concluded —the jury returned a verdict of not guilty, and the second indictment will not bo proceeled with. Mr 11. Goodmans racing stud was sold o-day. Le Loup fetched 375 guineas—and the others (seven iu all) brought the total up to 680 guineas. A stormy meeting of creditors of R. H. Aim, better known as Hanrox and Co., was held yesterday. Aim has advertised a lot tery scheme largely, and started business with next to nothing. The Creditors are not at all satisfied with the. statements made, and probably a strict inquiry will be made into the affair.
