The Colonial Bank for the past halfyear returns a dividend at the rate of 1G per cent, per annum. The previous half-year the dividend was at the rate of 8 per cent. We have been asked, so to settle existing disputes, to publish the qualifications of the School Teachers of Clyde and Alexandra in the order in which they stand. On reference to the report of the Minister of Education for 1880, we find Mr Joseph Edward Stevens ranks D I ; Frederick Scott Aldred, D 3 ; Mrs Stevens, E 2. Works in connection with the bridge at Alexandra are being pushed on now, and a material alteration ;u tho look of things may soon be expected.
