MATAKASUI HANDICAP— A sweepstake of 1 sov, with 20 sovs added. Second horse to receive amount of sweepstake. Distance, mile. Nomination, 20s; acceptance, 10s. Nominations will be received by the Secretary at the Newtown Hotel, Tinkers, up to 8 p.m. on the 30th December, 1880. Weights declared immediately after. Acceptance at 10 pm. To start at 2 o’clock. Entrance ss, To start at G o'clock. CONSOLATION HANDICAP— Of 5 sovs. For all beaten horses. Distance 11 mile. Entrance ss. To start at G. 30. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No person shall be allowed to enter or run a horse unless qualified as a subscriber of not less than one guinea to the Race Fund. Three horses to start for all post entry races or no race. No entries will be received for any of the above races except upon this condition—That till disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall he decided by the Stewards or whomsoever they may appoint. And their doci-ion on all points connected with the carrying out of this propramnic shall be lined. Jockey costume will be enforced. The Dunedin Jockey Club rules will be strictly enforced. Any person entering a protest will have to deposit the sum of one guinea, and should such be deemed frivolous by the Stewards, the amount will be forfeited.
