WASTE LANDS BOARD.
Tho following business was transacted at the sitting of the Waste Lauds Board held ou the 10th instant : “G. F. Mackay asked for valuation for tree planting oa sections 5 and 6, block XXIV, Roxburgh, before the same being sold. It was stated that there were no trees worth any value, so the request was declined. The Roxburgh Borough Council asked that the gale of suburban sections in that township should be deferred tor three mouths, in order that the Council might secure its water rights. The Chairman explained that the sections had been determined to bo offered for sale on the request of the Borough Council and the sale had now been advertised for three weeks. It was agreed to postpone the sale, the ■ Chairman remarking that the Borough Council should certainly pay the cost of advertising. The plan of survey of township of Macetown was approved, and sections fixed at tbe'upset of L 7 10s. The following applications to exchange for deferred-payment licenses were approved ;—James Tamblyn, R. ,J. Pilchers, ■f. H. Waiglh, J. G. Pitchers, all of T.-viot.
