CONTRADICTION.
(TO THE EDITOR OF THE DUNSTAN TIMES.) Sir —Permit mo to contradict a misstatement which is being industriously cir ciliated to the effect that I have been drawing large sums from the County Treasury for my travelling expenses. I wish the ratepayers to know that 1 have never received one shilling for such expenses since I have been Chairman. Buggy hire has been charged but nothing else, aud the coat his been trifling—averaging less than L 3 per month tor the past year. Yours &0., VINCF-NT PVKK. Clyde, 10th October, 1881).
