The bid hog throughout was spirited, evidencing that one and all had gone there thoroughly prepared to give the Church a su- s aulia! bene tit. Daring the sale, and to give the auctioneer a little breathing time, some songs were sang by a lady, Mrs Shaw, late Alisa Mastic, who received a perfect ovation, also by a couple of gentl men, and the choir <-f the Church coutii mted some part I music very creditably.
