THE AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS AT HOME.
London, September 7th. The Match against the All England was continued to-day. All England’s first innings closed for 420. The Australians only succeeded iu making 140, of which Boyle contributed 36 (not out). The Australians then followed their innings, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had put together 170 for the loss of six wickets. Bonner is not out with 13 rims, and Murdock not out with 70- M‘Donnell scored 43 and was given out Ibw. There was a large attendance and the weather continues fine.
September Bth. The match was resumed to-day in tbe presence of an immense concourse of spectators. The Australians continued their second innings, and made a splendid stand against the bowling of the Englishmen The innings closed for 327 runs, M unlock being not out with 153. Tbe Englishmen, requiring 57 to win, then went iu for their second innings, and obtained the required number for the loss of five wickets, winning the match by five wickets. The greatest interest was taken in the contest, sad the weather throughout the match was very fiuo.
September 10 th. The match between the Australians and Eighteen of the Clydesdale Club, at Glasgow was commenced to-day. The Home team went first to the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had lost eight wickets for 138 runs.
September 11th. The Home team resumed their innings, but wore not disposed of till they scored 224. The Australians then went to the Wickets, hut they-were all out for 111. They had to follow on, and in their second innings when time was called had lost one wicket for 47 runs.. The match was th roLr>' drawn in favor of the Glasgow team. The Australians play against the Players at the Crystal Palace on the 27th instant.
September 12th. The Australians commenced a match tolay ac Brighton against the Sussex County team. The Holtie team went first to the 'v'i.-k ts and wore all out for 108 runs. The 'ustralians then went in, and when the ttumos wore drawn for the day had lost seven wickets for 119 runs. The attend* nice was very large.
