OTAGO BUILDING SOCIETY CLYDE.
The Annual Meemg of shareholders was held iu CoxL Port Phillip 11. Tel, on Friday evening last, Mr George Clark being voted to the Chair.
The Secretary having rea l the mmutes of the last meeting, which were read and cofirmed, then road the report of the retiring directors, and the Annual Balance Sheet (to be found in our advertising columns ) The Chairman said by the reports it will bo seen that the Society is in a prosperous condition, the only thing wanting being more shareholders to make it pay still better. By the Balance-sheet it was to be seen that the profits divided amongst the shareholders amounted to 1,102 IS-b which represented a clear proli* of 2Ss per annum for each L 6 share Capital paid up, and a balance of L 7 3s 3 to lie carried forward. The Balance sheet "as read ami adopted. A vote of thanks was recorded to the Directors for their services during the past year, and a sum of L 5 was voted for Directors’expenses far the current year. The Chairman said the next duty was the election of Directors in the place of those ret.ii ing, Messrs Naylor, (President) Holt, Parks, Attileld, Welsford, Cox and Smart were the Directors, of whom Messrs Smart and Welsford retired by effluxion of time..
Messrs George Clark and George Ratcliffe were elected vice retiring Direectors. Unsolved—That the B dance-sheet be advertised in the Dunstan Times The meeting then dissolved with a vote of thanks to the I 'hair.
