ALEXANDRA CALEDONIAN SPORTS.
These sports came off on Boxing Day. The weather was propitious, if we may except a breeze in the afternoon, which rendered the dust very annoying. There was a large attendance of competitors and spectators, and the entries for the various events were fairly numerous. It was very late before the first event on the programme was got off, consequently all the items could not lie got through on Friday. The competition throughout the day was keen and well contested In the 150 yards race a splendid race ensued, resulting in a dead heat between Campbell andStanaway, the rest being all well up, thus testifying to the correctness of the ha dicap.
