. {/ »’ —O - | An Ordinary meeting of the Council was held On 4 'Wednesday last. Present: The Mayor (in the chair), and Councillors Robertson, Theyers, and M‘Donald. The minutes of the last meeting were read and continued. The outward correspondence ■ was approved ; and the inward, consisting of letters from Messrs Kincaid and M‘Queen and Messrs A. and T. Burt, with reference to cost of pipes, and Mr S. N. Brown and .MrjG-i be ,; referring: to f dvert)jiiiig,( were read and received. It was moved by Councillor Theyers, and seconded by Councillor;M‘Donald, “That consideration of the tenders for advertising be postponed until next meeting.”—Carried. The Town' Clerk brought forward a draft of bye-laws for the Borough, wliicb were read ; and, alter considerable discussion, it was resolved: “That the Town Clerk he instructed to write to the Cromwell Borough Council, asking for a copy of their byelaws. ” Accounts from J .
